McKinsey calls this the “silent killer of technology modernization.”
And it will destroy your revenue strategy:
Tech debt.
This drain on technical capabilities is the enemy of modern, fast-moving revenue teams. It holds back even the most ambitious sellers.
And the data is eye-opening.
Tech debt soaks up:
- 40 percent of IT balance sheets
- 10 to 20 percent of project costs
- 50% of engineering time
If you want to move at the pace of today’s AI-powered, tech-driven world, now is the time to address tech debt.
Don’t watch as competitors sprint by you powered by a cleaner, leaner stack.

May is mental health awareness month and as a CEO, I’m often asked:
How do you handle the stress of leading a high-growth company?
And my answer is always the same.
Prioritize your brain.
For me, this looks like:
- Daily meditation
- Consistent exercise
- Gratitude journaling
I have to refresh. I have to keep my core motivations front and center.
Because without these pockets of personal time, burnout comes on fast in the startup world.
And once you’ve lost your mental health, recovering it can be a long and difficult journey.
As a reminder, take a few minutes to check-in on yourself today.

Every company I know is crafting its AI strategy.
Here are 3 principles to keep in mind:
(1) Companies will win with proprietary data and workflow integration.
Want to build a competitive advantage with AI? Go beyond the base model.
Invest in proprietary data. Data only you have access to. Then, weave this data into your revenue-facing workflows for maximum impact.
(2) You don’t need to be an AI expert, but you need to be thoughtful.
Instead, rely on your trusted technology partners for their expertise.
Consult with your CTO. Connect with your AI practitioners. Create a collaborative dynamic to drive key business objectives.
(3) The key is balancing human intelligence and AI.
As a revenue leader, our role is twofold: first, to unlock human potential through the strategic use of AI. And second, to identify the most high-impact way to utilize this newfound capacity.
In short: you’re either developing your AI strategy now, or you’re signing up to get left behind.

One question I hear often from employees, customers & investors is: What’s the latest book you’ve read?
Here are 3 of my favorites. All are good for different reasons:
1. Elon Musk by Walter Isaacson: A must-read for all operators and entrepreneurs. How can we surge to achieve something remarkable without breaking the company?
2. Late Bloomers by Rich Karlgaard: I’m one of these. It blows up all the traditional societal think about our brain development and the causal relationship it has to happiness & fulfillment in life. Every parent & educator should read this book.
3. Clarity & Connection by Yung Pueblo: One of my all time favs. I’ve been doing a lot of meditation, self compassion, mindfulness and qigong work over the last seven years – and this book seems to fit right in with these practices. It's a series of one page snippets that activate how to live your best life. .
What’s everyone reading right now? Or tell me one book that you’re in love with.

Picture this.
You’re a CRO. It’s Monday morning and you’re in your CRM trying to figure out why your pipeline is down 12% from last night — but you can’t. That’s Revenue Leak.
Or you’re a RevOps leader rolling out sales programs to drive pipeline. But you can’t figure out why it’s not translating into qualified sales opportunities. That’s Revenue Leak.
Or you’re a frontline manager. You just found out that 40% of your committed deals slipped, and you don’t know why. That’s Revenue Leak.
Revenue Leak is a $2 trillion market loss caused by breaks in the revenue process. This leak siphons opportunity from companies both big and small.
At Clari, we deploy a framework called the “Elite Eight” to stop revenue leak today and keep it from returning tomorrow.
With this framework, you can capture every drop of revenue at your company — and grow a legendary career in revenue.
Check it out below.

We’re sitting at one of the most profound technological shifts of our generation.
You’re either signing up – or getting left behind.
That’s why we hosted Charge: The Revenue Summit last week, a half-day virtual event for revenue leaders on how to recharge your revenue engine with AI.
My biggest takeaway?
AI is the biggest opportunity – and risk– of our generation; however, it’s there to help you blueprint your revenue process so you can capture more revenue, predictably and confidently.
I don’t want you to miss out on all the insights, so here’s the replay link with my keynote and all the sessions.
